What Does Multifit Mean?
Everything you need to know about our multifit cup technology
We know you have seen the word before, its all over our website and on our bestselling styles.. Multifit cups. I get it, it can be confusing, does it mean the cup size can be altered once you get it? Can the cup be changed? Is the cup removable?
Today I am here to let you know exactly what multifit means, what multifit cups are and how they work.
Basic Multifit Cup Discs
At Nip Tuck Swim we have a few different shape versions of our multifit cups but the technology behind each of them is the same.
For those of you that have purchased our affordable designer swimsuits you would have noticed the cup sizing disc that says Multifit. It would look something like this one in the image.
We have a few different size groups but the most common one we use is “Multifit” and that is the technology we are going to explain below.
Into the Nitty Gritty
In order to achieve this size disc we have to design the fit of the garments to complement a range of cup sizes… for example – C Cup, D Cup & DD Cup and we do this in our swimwear by using the “multifit” foam cup.
To make our multifit cups fit to perfection we use a special grade foam that is strong enough to keep its moulded shape but thin enough to still flex and the support the bust as it ranges up and down from the C Cup to the DD Cup.
This technology is how our cups can fit up to 3 cup sizes in the one moulded cup. The edges of the cups are sewn into the swimwear top in a way, so they do not dig into the top of the bust on the larger sizes but keep their shape for the smaller sizes without collapsing in. The Multifit cups are easy to wear & wash
Specific cup shapes for specific Nip Tuck Swim styles
Cross Front Tummy Control Cups:
The shape of our multi fit foam cups were created to emulate the nature form of a woman’s breast. The tear drop multi fit cup shapes are used on our popular styles: cross front tummy control one piece, cross front bikini and tankini top.
These styles have an elongated neckline that sits flush against the body, a curved underbust to support the breast and an elongated underarm scoop. To give you the ultimate figure forming shape.
Twist Front Tummy Control Cups:
The multifit cup used on our other popular style, the twist front one piece swimsuit, bikini set & tankini set has a feminine, rounder shape.
This cup is moulded to create a full bust look. The center of the cup has a deep projection to guide the bust into position. This also makes the bust appear fuller.
The neckline on this multifit cup has a slight curve. However, when the bathers are on, it sits straight across the neckline which allows it to fit if you have a fuller top bust at the top. The underbust is also curved for support and the side has a smaller more open scoop that follows the projection of the cup.
